About Us

The Riddet Institute was established in 2003 at Massey University, Palmerston North. It was accorded Centre of Research Excellence status in 2007 by the New Zealand government. Significant government and industry funding brings together leading researchers from around the country to expand our scientific knowledge of foods and digestive processes.

The Institute has world-class competency in the areas of biomaterials science and digestive physiology relating to nutrient absorption and metabolism.
